Information for Abstract/Proposal Submission:

Abstracts Submission Deadline is - July 12, 2009
The submission of abstracts, extended abstracts and full papers involves several steps. First, submit an abstract of the paper or submit "in progress" theoretical or empirical papers and case studies, or submit a proposal describing your presentation. Extended abstracts (3 to 4 pages) describing your paper are acceptable in lieu of a full paper. The submission of extended abstracts or full papers is recommended.  Submit a proposal for a symposium on one page describing the subject, scope and potential participants. Each submission must be accompanied by the Submission Form and can be sent (uploaded) with the form or as an email attachment (see below).

When the paper/abstract is received, it will be peer�reviewed by the Program Committee. Authors will receive notification by email within 30 days whether their abstract was accepted, rejected or accepted with reservation. Authors will be notified later whether the paper was accepted for oral or poster presentation.

Authors of accepted submission will then receive a letter of acceptance and other appropriate instructions. In the case of multiple authors, only the submitter will be notified. He or she is responsible for notifying co-authors.

Guidlines for Preparing Abstracts and Manuscripts
Once your submission has been accepted for presentation, you must register for the conference in order to present. Your allocated time for oral or poster presentation and the program schedule will be emailed to you prior to the start of the conference. Accepted manuscripts may be revised and re-submitted. In order for your paper to be included in the Conference Proceedings, you must submit your final revised manuscript before September 13, 2009.

The Program Committee determined the deadline for abstracts submission is July 12, 2009.

Best Student Paper Competition Award

Students are encouraged to submit their paper for the Best Student Paper competition award. One paper will be selected for each IAMB conference as the Best Student Paper. The merit of the manuscript is judged by the originality & quality of the research, scientific relevance, completeness of work, and organization and clarity of the writing including tables, graphs and illustrations. The manuscript will NOT be judged by the quality of the oral presentation at the conference.

The winner will receive:

  • An award certificate with optional photograph
  • Publication of the manuscript in JIMB, - International Journal of Management and Business without additional peer review but may require some revisions
  • A monitory reward of $250 redeemable in current or future participation in one of the IAMB conferences.

Eligibility

  1. The manuscript must be presented at the IAMB conference.
  2. The student must be is either the first author or has contributed a significant portion of the work.
  3. The submission of the manuscript was in a timely fashion and within the deadlines.
  4. Only full manuscripts are eligible.
  5. For each conference, the submission dates will be announced.

Rules and Information

  • The manuscript must adhere to the guidelines for preparing full manuscripts.
  • The manuscript must be no more than 8000 words

Submissions - Summary of Procedures
  1. Electronically

    Prepare your abstract or full manuscript according to the style guidelines below.
    Save your document in Microsoft Word compatible format
    Proceed in one of the following ways:

    Online. Complete the entire Submission Form online, one for each submission. Then “upload” your file with the form.
    By Email. Send your submission to submit@iamb.net as an email attachment. For initial submissions send also the Submission Form online, one for each submission. When sending the final manuscripts include in the Subject section of the email the words "Final MS" and the paper’s reference number.
