About the Conference
Theme: ”Management in Turbulent Times and Returning Economic Crisis"
What the world should learn from Central and Eastern Europe’s (CEE) transitional economies
This conference will discuss management challenges related to returning economic and financial crisis, and the failing role of management over the past few years in contributing to the returning crisis.
The topics could vary from macro-management, institutional management, skills management; to managing the enterprise during the possibly significant global down turn. Special attention will be given to lessons learnt in CEE during the past 20 years of systemic and economic transformation.
Papers could also focus on explaining the role of management in brewing the crisis and will lay out the new management paradigm, that would make the world immune from such event in the future.
There are many lessons to be learnt from the transitional economies of developed countries: How to implement painful reforms? How to ensure financial stability? How to ensure functioning of the market when the state is large and abusive? And how restore market confidence?
