The Organizing Committee reserved a block of rooms at the Flamingo Hotel and Casino the 2010 IAMB winter Conference. Our special rate is $49 USD per room per night for single or double occupancy. The rates are valid during the conference days, Sunday through Tuesday nights, January 24, 25 and 26, 2010. These rates can be extended up to two nights after the conference dates (wednesday & Thursday nights) There are limited numbers of rooms available for arriving before the conference dates (up to three days) at the same rates. These rooms will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. Otherwise, the then prevailing hotel room rates will apply. These rates will NOT be available past the cut-off date for making the reservation (December 27, 2009). All rates are subject local county taxes, currently 12%, plus any incidental personal charges.

How to make Reservation

To receive the discounted group rate, you make your room reservation directly with hotel by calling 1-888-373-9855, and identify yourself as a member of “IAMB Group” (spell out the name). You may also make reservation on Internet through the hotel’s reservation at the following link:

A valid credit card is required to make reservations. All reservations must be guaranteed with a deposit for the first night’s guestroom plus tax charge.  If reservation is guaranteed to a credit card, a first night’s guestroom and tax charge, per guestroom, will be billed immediately to the cardholder’s account.

The Group’s rooms will be held in a block until December 27, 2009, and these room rates are valid until December 27, 2009. It is strongly recommend making hotel reservations well in advance in order to guaranty a space. Any requests received after the cut-off date, December 27, 2009, will be handled on a space available basis at the prevailing hotel’s guestroom rates at that time. Guestroom charges and personal expenses incurred at the hotel will be the responsibility of each individual guest.

Cancellations of room reservations:

You may cancel your guestroom reservations without penalty up to 72 hours prior to your scheduled arrival date.  Cancellation within 72 hours of the scheduled arrival date or failure to check-in on the scheduled arrival date, will incur by the hotel a charge of one night’s guaranteed guestroom rate plus tax.  Any remaining nights of a “no-show” reservation will be canceled.

Early departure: In the event a guest who has reserved a guestroom checks out prior to the reserved check-out date, the Hotel will add an early check-out fee of $50.00 plus tax to that individual’s account.  Guests wishing to avoid an early check-out fee should advise Hotel at or before check-in of any change in planned length of stay.

The Flamingo Hotel & Casino Las Vegas is located at 3555 Las Vegas Boulevard South, Las Vegas, NV 89109, 3-4 miles from McCarran International Airport. Taxicab fare is $12-16 (up to 4 people). An independent shuttle transportation service from the airport to the Flamingo Hotel is available outside the airport baggage claim: $5—one way; $9—round trip.
